Along with unlocking homes, probably the most requested service is to rekey the premises. This is a process by which the locks are fitted to work with new keys, thus eliminating the old keys at a fraction of the cost compared to purchasing new locks. Anytime you relocate, the locks need to be rekeyed. Who knows how many keys exist to your home, or more importantly who has them? Be careful with new construction. Many subcontractors had or still have the keys to your home. You may be told at closing, or before, that once you use your keys then the contractor master key will no longer work. Half-truth. With just a little shake, their keys will still open your locks.

Unfortunately, there are times that your keys may be stolen, lost, or perhaps a change in a relationships would be prudent times to rekey. Valuables can be replaced but you and your family cannot.
